Listening Guide

This section will feature the cream-of-the-crop, the best of the best when it comes to unitedcypher productions.  New to the site?  This is the perfect way to get an introduction to what we do!

"unitedcypher presents" is our show of other shows like Anime Alphabet and Fallout Forecast as well as older improv radio where nearly anything can happen, though it's mostly a compilation of our collective life experiences mixed with a bucket of lies and half-cocked accents.

Anime Alphabet Series Wrap-up

The end of this series a good place to start.  Join Evan and DeHart as they reflect back on the completion of this 6 month project with special guest Cheats.  They relive some of the ups and downs of titles covered during the run of the show and serves as a good preview before going back and starting from the beginning.

The Mysteries of the Universe are unveiled!  Join ex-scientist and Poleitsher Prize winning war correspondant Paul Miller as he interviews a war veteran who was allegedly abducted and brain-raped by aliens, the publisher and co-author of a book on the aforementioned brain-rape, and a skeptic who thinks that both of them are denying the truth.... About Spacesquatch!

"Motion Picture Meltdown" is a movie review podcast without the sponsors or the prestigious hollywood trappings.  It is produced by Stephen and hosted by Stephen, Philip, Cheats, and DeHart along with the occasional guests.  It's a fast paced show that's hilarious from start to finish.

Ep 139 - The Safe Word Is Banana Pudding!

Welcome back to Not-So Superhero September for Motion Picture Meltdown! We continue our theme with a couple of crappy super-hero movies from the 90's. Phil, DeHart, and Stephen get together with Joel Mengel from The Pod People Podcast once again to roast through Sam Raimi's Darkman as well as Blankman.

Ep 206 - I Murdered Your Father, Wearing Your Father.

This week we kick off the new year by roasting through a couple of John Woo action "classics" from the 1990's. We go over the 1993 hit starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Hard Target as well as John Woo's follow up from 1995, Face/Off.

MPM: Ep.162 - The Alien Amputee Actor's Guild (AAAG)

Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! To finish up our fantasy movie theme of February, Phil, Dehart and myself decided to struggle through seemingly one of the longest (and shittiest) fantasy movies ever, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves as well as a classic fantasy/science fiction film that was special to all of us 80's children with The Last Starfighter. In this episode you will hear us decide how we would manipulate the our paths to reaching the crown, we wonder exactly what movie Alan Rickman thinks he's in, and question Kevin Costner's constant need for a butt double. Enjoy!

Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! Continuing our Fantasy genere theme of February, Phil, Dehart and myself go back into our comfort zone of the 80's, and go through a couple of fantasy fan favorites. We roast the 1981 King Arthur story, Excalibur, as well as one of the most amazing love story movies of all time, The Princess Bride. In this episode, we talk about whether we'd rather be the Dread Pirate Roberts or King Arthur, Phil explains his idea for a retelling of the King Arthur story, and we find out which child celebrity Dehart's parents used to call him. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep.160 - Six Degrees of Hard-On

Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week Phil, Dehart and myself are joined by another fantastic special guest. Skyping in from California we welcome another of Nerds on Film's cohosts, Roxi Nobari! To continue our Science Fiction/Fantasy month, we jump back into the 80's to go through a couple of the less-than stellar and poorly received movies Enemy Mine and Dune. In this episode, Roxi fantasizes about the gay love quarrel that Dennis Quaid and an alien share, Phil talks about a mystery orgy scene in the extended version of Dune, and we all pick which 80's alien we'd least like to be marooned on a planet with. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep.159 - Ferris Bueller's Epic Ad-Frenchure.

Happy February everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! For this month, we've decided to go with an 80's fantasy/science fiction theme! To kick things off, our friend Sean Moriarty from the Nerds on Film Podcast has once again graced us with his presence. We start of this month by roasting through two complete fantasy films, Krull as well as Richard Donner's Ladyhawke. This week, Sean joined Dehart, Phil and myself to talk about our favorite 80's fantasy films, we decide that the actual theme of the month should be "Laziness", and Dehart and Sean finally get to talk about the Spinelli's incident together. Enjoy!
