Listening Guide

This section will feature the cream-of-the-crop, the best of the best when it comes to unitedcypher productions.  New to the site?  This is the perfect way to get an introduction to what we do!

"unitedcypher presents" is our show of other shows like Anime Alphabet and Fallout Forecast as well as older improv radio where nearly anything can happen, though it's mostly a compilation of our collective life experiences mixed with a bucket of lies and half-cocked accents.

Anime Alphabet Series Wrap-up

The end of this series a good place to start.  Join Evan and DeHart as they reflect back on the completion of this 6 month project with special guest Cheats.  They relive some of the ups and downs of titles covered during the run of the show and serves as a good preview before going back and starting from the beginning.

The Mysteries of the Universe are unveiled!  Join ex-scientist and Poleitsher Prize winning war correspondant Paul Miller as he interviews a war veteran who was allegedly abducted and brain-raped by aliens, the publisher and co-author of a book on the aforementioned brain-rape, and a skeptic who thinks that both of them are denying the truth.... About Spacesquatch!

"Motion Picture Meltdown" is a movie review podcast without the sponsors or the prestigious hollywood trappings.  It is produced by Stephen and hosted by Stephen, Philip, Cheats, and DeHart along with the occasional guests.  It's a fast paced show that's hilarious from start to finish.

Ep 139 - The Safe Word Is Banana Pudding!

Welcome back to Not-So Superhero September for Motion Picture Meltdown! We continue our theme with a couple of crappy super-hero movies from the 90's. Phil, DeHart, and Stephen get together with Joel Mengel from The Pod People Podcast once again to roast through Sam Raimi's Darkman as well as Blankman.

Ep 206 - I Murdered Your Father, Wearing Your Father.

This week we kick off the new year by roasting through a couple of John Woo action "classics" from the 1990's. We go over the 1993 hit starring Jean-Claude Van Damme, Hard Target as well as John Woo's follow up from 1995, Face/Off.

MPM: Ep. 212 - Hamburgle Man

Hi everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week Phil chooses the flicks as we take a trek down Kevin Bacon way and attempt to make retribution for the long-lost Kevin Bacon podcast a couple of years ago. In this episode, Phil, Cheats, Dehart and myself go through a couple of late 90's/early 2000's Bacon flicks, starting with Hollow Man and ending with Stir of Echoes. This week you'll hear us decide whether we'd rather be invisible or be able to talk to raped ghosts, we talk about the necessity of nose-holes in masks, and just really, really hate that cover of Paint it Black. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 210 - So Long, And Thanks For Alan Rickman

Hey everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! As sad day hit us recently as the amazing and talented actor, Alan Rickman unfortunately lost the battle to cancer. This week Phil, Dehart, Cheats and myself decided to honor the man by going through a couple of his lesser known Science Fiction movies. In this episode, we roast through Galaxy Quest as well as the insanely underrated adaptation to the book by Douglas Adams, The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy. In this episode, you will hear us talk about what planet we would most like to visit or live on, we talk about how Galaxy Quest may indeed be the best Star Trek movie ever made, and we talk about how we all imagine Alan Rickman being uncomfortably shoved into the Marvin suit. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 209 - The Ecks Wife

Welcome everyone to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week Dehart has chosen a couple of "versus" movies for us to roast through. The first of which is widely considered one of the worst big-budget films of all time, and number one on Rotten Tomatoes "terrible" list, Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. The second movie was a pleasant surprise and somewhat underrated summer blockbuster from 2011, Cowboys & Aliens. In this episode, you'll hear our terrible attempts at how to demolish our arch enemies, you'll hear Dehart give the correct description of a mercy knife, and once again, about a thousand references to Kurt Russell and Air Force One. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 208 - Shwarmageddon

Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week Phil, Dehart, Cheats and myself go through a couple of Earth-ending asteroid movies that both come from the year 1998. In this episode, we roast through the huge Michael Bay hit, Armageddon as well as the FAR less good "Christian-themed" Deep Impact. In this episode, you'll hear all of our made up space sicknesses,  we talk about the fact that Armageddon is mostly one giant Aerosmith-accompanied montage, and we all talk about how Deep Impact just hammers us all over the head with religion. Enjoy!

MPM: Ep. 207 - The Abominable Gleeson

Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Motion Picture Meltdown! This week, Cheats, Phil, Dehart and myself go through a couple of "Cyberpunk" movies from 2012. We roast through a remake we've all been dreading to review with the 2012 version of Total Recall as well as talk about one of the more pleasant lower-profile comic books movies that we all (well, most of us) have seen with the updated version of Dredd. In this episode, you will hear us decide what type of Rekall we'd go to...if there weren't any good ones available, you'll hear us all gang up on Cheats for his opinions, and you'll hear me question the decision to put Bill Weasley in everything. Enjoy!
